Our club was chartered November 17, 1983. We formed our 501C(3), San Marcos Lions Club Foundation, Inc on that same day. As a club we have screened over 34,000 vision screenings for kids and seniors in North County San Diego. We also raise funds to provide free eyeglasses and free vision screenings for those in our region.
We sponsor our local boy scout and girl scout troops, as well as the San Marcos Boys & Girls club and various other local orgnanizations.

To provide our community with a viable source of financial support for the procurement of testing and treatment of the sight and hearing impaired.
Our efforts focus on school-age children and senior citizens whose economic means do not allow them to seek out the discovery and treatment of sight and/or hearing infirmities.
